SAVANNAH 8Mom began to lick up the pieces of meat Mischana left and devoured them before my sisters entered the clearing. Heri was carrying the water plants again and Kami was carrying the fish. They laid them down beside mom. I started to cut the fish up. While Heri was feeding mom water she stopped and sniffed the air then looked down at her wounds.
"Vittani, what is this goo all over mother?" she exclaimed.
"It's uh it is sap from a special tree. The sap umm helps stop bleeding and infection..." I replied
"Well how do you know that for sure?" Heri asked rather suspiciously. Uh oh...
"Well remember how Vittani was the only one who sensed Mother wSAVANNAH 8 by ~wolfofsecrets
SAVANNAH 7"Oh no you don't! You're not fooling me, Vittani! I'm going to stay here and wait for mom to get back. I'm going to behave!" exclaimed Heri
"You don't understand! I think she's in trouble and she can't come for us! Besides, it's been two days and mom would never leave us this long!" Pleaded Vittani
"What if mom is testing us to see who is the most loyal? When mom comes back and sees me alone she'll know you abandoned me and that all along I was the chosen one!"
"You're being irrational, Heri." she paused and then said sarcastically "Mom already knows you're sooooo loyal she wouldn't test you."
Suddenly there was a shocked look on Heri's fSAVANNAH 7 by ~wolfofsecrets
SAVANNAH- CHAPTER 6Ow! I was suddenly awoken by sharp pains in my sides. I started to breathe heavily until I noticed mom had picked me up in her jaws. The weariness left me when I heard a large animal spitting in anger about 10 feet away. Mom ran with me to a tree and put me down. Mother just hissed while Vittani was whimpering.
"What was that! Are you stupid? You need to keep an eye on your sister! You know she can't watch you!" hissed mom clearly directing her rage at Vittani.
"Im sorry! I was getting sleepy because I had eaten so much!" said Vittani
"No excuse!" growled mom leaning in real fast twords Vittani with her fangs out and SNAP. Then I heard soSAVANNAH- CHAPTER 6 by ~wolfofsecrets
SAVANNAH-4I crept stealthily among the tall grasses and came upon open ground like yesterdays misadventure. I looked both ways for predators before crossing the Savannah, as mama always said. There was no one in sight. Just that same familiar forked tree in the distance.  I jetted out from the tall grass and hurtled at full speed to the tree. It took me a minute or two to get half way across the open ground and a minute more to get to the tree. Not one huff or puff of exhaustion was let out until I got to the tree.  I looked behind me and the tall grass was nearly visible in the distance. I turned forth and moved at a nice pace. FroSAVANNAH-4 by ~wolfofsecrets
